When we code for a project, who "owns" the source codes?

Thats up to the Customer to define.

Mostly all the code is Copyright Clexus New Media, unless the customer specifically requests full copyright.

Distribution rights or License is always determined by the customer. Many customers of ours allow us to reuse code in other applications and to redistribute the entire product, this allows us to keep the initial development cost to the commissioning customer down.

We sometimes (Although rarely) undertake work where we are not allowed to share code with other projects, and we sign over all rights to the copyright and distribution rights and allow the customer to determine their own license. These will obviously increase the cost of our service as we have no recurring income for our time.

We are always happy to discuss specific issues and take each project on a case by case basis. There are no hard and fast rules.
